I’m Emily Neilson, and I help anxious adults just like you: ones who have it within them to find their calm, but just need the support to get there.

I help clients feel grounded, secure and confident by equipping them with the tools they need to better understand themselves and their anxiety.

Many of today’s solutions for anxiety and OCD are management-based. These approaches will give you tools to “cover-up” your symptoms but they might not help you overcome your anxiety or OCD long-term. These approaches can lead many to feel only temporary relief or like they’re not making real progress.

I know that your circumstances are unique, so every step of our work together will be tailored to you and your specific needs with an end goal in mind. Together we will use research-backed methods to overcome your anxiety or OCD so that you can experience lasting change.

First, we identify what triggers your anxiety (what situations consistently cause you to react with anxiety or obsessions and compulsions?) Then, using the gold-standard treatments for anxiety (CBT or ERP) we will learn the skills to confidently face discomfort and uncertainty. And with time, your triggers will no longer be triggers.

Through our work together, you will be equipped with the skills and confidence you need to overcome anxiety or OCD and experience real change.

My training in anxiety and OCD therapies means that I have the expertise you need and deserve to help you work through and overcome the above issues. But at then end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who “gets” what it means to be a hardworking, conscientious, adult struggling with anxiety, right?

I get it because I have devoted my career to understanding and working with the struggle that is anxiety. I know that sometimes you’re so exhausted from feeling anxious that you have no energy at the end of the day. I know that, even with all this exhaustion, you still have trouble falling asleep at night because of racing thoughts. I know you just want some relief, and I know how to help.
