Anxiety Therapy
Helping adults in Nashville overcome anxiety and achieve a sense of calm
Are you starting to feel overwhelmed in daily life?
You may have arrived here if you…
Have moments where you feel nervous, restless or tense and are unsure why
Feel an uncontrollable need to worry about things you ultimately have no control over
Have moments where you experience racing thoughts, fast heart rate, trembling or cold sweats
Have difficulty concentrating or staying on task because of any of the above.
Feel unsure about what to do next, but are certain you don’t want to feel this way anymore.
Whatever it is you’re experiencing, you may be beginning to notice the impact of anxiety in every facet of your life:
Isolating from friends or family to avoid possible anxiety triggers
Spending more time worrying and less time enjoying yourself
Feeling unable to focus at work or school because of persistent worries
Distracting from your discomfort with excessive use of social media, TV or alcohol.
Anxiety Therapy can help.
It may feel impossible now, but you can spend less time worrying. You can get back into a relaxed body and mind. You can feel at peace. And I can help you get there.
Anxiety therapy helps you do 4 things:
Find better ways to understand your anxiety so you can respond to it differently
Identify and change unhelpful thought patterns/behaviors with research-backed methods
Gain therapeutic skills you can use over your lifetime
Experience lasting change
I’ll help you through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances.
My approach to anxiety therapy comes from a place of empathy and understanding: believing that you are not “broken” or “damaged”, but that you’ve simply found yourself in a difficult cycle that just needs some care and attention.
You don’t have to keep feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
Frequently asked questions

During the first few sessions we will talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your history, and define your goals. We will then explore your anxiety, learning more about where it comes from and what it feels like. We’ll work on self-soothing skills to help ease the feeling of anxiety and also learn different ways of responding to anxiety so as to manage it more effectively.

The answer to this questions depends on the individual and their specific needs. Research suggests that most clients feel improvement in 12 - 15 sessions. Some clients feel better enough that they choose to end therapy within this time.
Others find that they enjoy the process of therapy and want to continue as their lives change and evolve.
My goal is to help you meet your goals at your pace. As long as therapy continues to be helpful, I’ll be here to support you.
